As S.I.S. volunteers our goals and purpose are to serve others and provide our serves. This can only be done in the best way possible by working together as a team and making sure us, as individuals, maintain a positive attitude, keep our goals and tasks in mind, and remain driven toward making others lives better in ANY way we can. During orientation every member of our SIS team participated in team building exercises, exercises to prepare for situations that may occur within an organization we volunteer at, as well as getting pumped for our SUMMER OF SERVICE!
Day 1 consisted of an overview of the summer, icebreakers to get to know all teammates, and overall information about all of the non-profit organizations we will be helping at.
Day 2 we had the pleasure of hiking up Crowders Mountain while engaging in fun, creative, helpful team building, bonding, and informative activities.
The two days of orientation truly pumped me up for what this summer has in store with each anticipated experience at all of the non-profits we will have the pleasure of being a part of.
