Stepping into the gym of Sedgefield Elementary school seeing buckets, water, giant ropes, station labels, hula hoops, and various other fun toys being hauled outside to be set up brought back so many childhood memories. Field day during the last week of school was most definitely the best day of the year... in my opinion!
The youngest group was first... oh my... and it was 9 am... I was nervous. The various stations all seemed like so much fun and were so creative that I kind of wanted to join in on the fun. But sadly I had to man my station... well not too sad because I got to race the kids that came to my station, which was the 50 meter dash (how fitting)! You could definitely peg the future track stars!
After an intense, loud morning of racing youngsters and repeating directions 10 times over, the day was done.
That feeling of you were once that young and excited, made seeing these kids run around with so much energy and joy an awesome experience.
